I haven't seen anybody's opinion on the sequel yet.
My view of it goes something like this...
I wasn't expecting too much from it as a filler for the next movie but I was pleasantly entertained. Kiera is hot. The "3 way" sword fight scene that ended up on the water wheel was ludicrous, ridiculous and hilarious! I did feel that having everybody from the first movie return was a bit forced.
we saw it yesterday and we all loved it. even my son was very much into it. i thought having all the people from the first was cool. i loved all the funny parts even though it was more serious than the first i thought it was great and i can't wait to see the 3rd one [img]graemlins/thumbs_up.gif[/img]

Every showing was sold out when my daughters tried to go on Friday and Saturday.
My wife and I will go later in the week once she's able to get around on her crutches.
We tried to go on Sat and all shows were sold out.
Baimun, Her WHAT???
Mr.s Baimun was at a baseball game in Lansing with her family... she was carrying her 2yr old neice. A drunken fan knocked into her on the concrete steps and she took a tumble.
She pivoted around to keep anything from happening to her niece (not a scratch) but sprained her ankle and broke a bone in her foot in the process... oh, and the other shin is skinned from the ankle to the knee... tore right through her jeans (good thing she wasn't wearing shorts).
So she's on crutches with her feet elevated, and is having a tough time getting around because her "good" leg hurt so much too. [img]frown.gif[/img]

(Kidding aside, I hope somebody drop-kicked the drunken ass over the railing... unless the drunken ass was you... at which point, having the long-haired pics of you floating around the net is punishment enough. [img]tongue.gif[/img] )
It was a college kid... and apparently he immediatly sobered up, felt really bad, and ran to get the paramedics.
I was home, wondering why she wasn't home yet... I get that scary phone call:
Mother In Law: "Hi... we're.. um... still in Lansing."
Me: "Are you spending the night at the in Laws?"
MIL: "Not exactly... we're at the hospital..."

MIL: "She's okay, but had a little mishap..."

I saw the movie on saturday and I absolutely loved it.
Depp is once again great as Captain Jack Sparrow, rest of the cast is good, but for me it's really a movie about Jack [img]smile.gif[/img]
Loved the Davy Jones crew. Can't wait for the DVD.
Anybody stayed after the generic to see the litlle "extra" scene?
I cant wait to see it. I know I'll love it if not just for the look of the characters
